What are run tokens?

Run tokens pay for the compute time your live Spring Boot app uses in the API Sandbox, and for Developer Lab requests past the free daily allowance. One token is one second of a small app; a heavy one burns 50 per second. Reading lessons, using the online Java compiler and browsing topics are all free and cost no tokens.

Do run tokens expire?

Most do not. A pack sold with a validity period says so on its card and expires at the end of it; everything else - welcome tokens, bonuses and packs sold without one - stays on your account until you spend it. There is no subscription or auto-renewal either way.

What is the difference between run tokens and PRO?

They pay for different things, and PRO now includes both. Run tokens meter live compute, which costs real money per second. PRO is a monthly or annual subscription that unlocks the in-depth PRO lessons and includes a token allowance every month. You can still buy tokens on their own without PRO.

Is PRO a subscription?

PRO is a subscription, billed monthly or annually, and it unlocks every PRO topic including ones added later. Nothing is charged automatically: a term simply ends unless you renew it, so cancelling means doing nothing.

Why is my price shown in rupees or dollars?

Prices are quoted in Indian rupees for visitors in India and in US dollars everywhere else. The currency is chosen automatically from your device settings; the server confirms it when the order is created.

Can I get a refund?

Contact us with your order reference and we will look at it. Unspent run tokens and a recent PRO or premium project purchase can normally be refunded through RazorPay. Tokens already spent on live compute cannot, because that compute has already been paid for.

I paid but nothing was credited. What now?

Open your profile page. Any checkout that started but was never confirmed is listed there as Awaiting, with a reference. Send us that reference through the contact form and we will reconcile it against the payment gateway and put it right.

Do I need an account to use the site?

Accepted Answer

No. Topics, lessons, the online Java compiler and the learning tracks are free to read and use without signing in. An account is only needed to run live apps in the API Sandbox, to buy anything, and to keep your progress.

Is my lesson progress saved to my account?

Accepted Answer

Progress is currently stored in your browser rather than on your account, so it does not follow you between devices. Purchases, tokens and PRO access are always tied to your account and are available everywhere you sign in.

What do I get with a premium project?

Accepted Answer

A downloadable ZIP with the complete, runnable source, build files for both Maven and Gradle, tests, Docker Compose where relevant, and documentation. It is a one-time purchase and the download stays available on your account.
